MoGo-a-GoGo Event

“Justin and his team were top-notch event partners: the planning was seamless and they perfectly-captured the energy and excitement of our event and the stories of our stakeholders. Highly recommended for anyone looking to produce high-quality event content with true professionals.”

– Jeremy Rosenberg, Director of Marketing, MoGo Detroit

Project Overview

MoGo Detroit approached my company, Flow Video, in 2023 to tell their story as Detroit's first and only non-profit bike share program – an affiliate of the Downtown Detroit Partnership. They were looking to use their inaugural community fundraising event, MoGo-a-GoGo, as a backdrop to produce a number of testimonial and event videos to bring awareness to their mission of putting metro Detroiters on affordable, accessible sets of (two) wheels. Of course, we said yes!

Execution

I assembled a videography crew as well as a Lead Producer to oversee all aspects of planning and execution on the project: we wanted to make sure that we captured as much high-energy, vibrant content as possible to tell the story. We knew that the location of the event – the 7,800 square foot Elevate space at One Campus Martius – was the ideal backdrop for their story of Detroit pride and community collaboration. We worked hand-in-hand with the A/V and event planning teams at Rock Events and MoGo to ensure we could capture the visuals and sounds of the event in high-fidelity.

We didn't just want to capture the event: we also wanted to tell the founding story of MoGo through the lens of its own people. And what better time and place to do that then when everyone was coming together to celebrate MoGo downtown!

Results

The inaugural event was a major success, and our client was "blown away" with the quality of the production – and the resulting usefulness of the content we crafted together. Our partnership enabled MoGo to not only capture the essence of the event but also produce branded evergreen content that will serve the organization for years to come.

Again, MoGo's Director of Marketing Jeremy Rosenberg:

"We really enjoyed the way that the folks at Flow came prepared with an understanding of MoGo and what we do, and more impressive was that they asked us the ever-important question of 'why' we do it. We've had a lot of problems in the past with people simply not putting in the time to get what MoGo is about -- the opposite was true of Flow! This was our first time producing any new videos in nearly 4 years, and we had a wonderful experience. Flow blew our expectations out of the water!"
